Description
A drawing I started several days ago for Malii, when she told me that Eneas liked me. He and the girl from my Starvation picture together. the background is my idea of a Black Hole.
more anatomy work on this one. tried to be clear in the skeletal differences between the male figure and the female, though in profile, they're a little tougher to see.
The picture was drawn in graphite, scanned, tinted slightly red in Photoshop, and Eneas' hair was colored in photoshop. Might upload the version with uncolored hair later, I'm not completely pleased with it.
The title is a bit obscure, but also very relevant. Every time I hear about grown people at death's door due to starvation, be they nazi deathcamp survivors, elderly people consumed by cancer, anorexics... they always seem to weigh 80 pounds. so in my mind, 80 pounds is the bare minimum to exist, to live. I currently weigh about 110. I have 30 pounds extra, of muscle and fat, 30 pounds away from death. 30 pounds of life. it's a bit morbid, I know, but I never claimed to see the world the way everyone else did.

Very powerful, and more than a little scary. I like how you've used the rather mellow sepia tones, but the bones and everything are still very striking.
